Our Photo Restoration Process
Our photo restoration and retouching process begins with scanning a high-resolution image of your damaged photograph. You can upload or email the digital photo to us or have us scan it for you. To ensure the safety of your original photos, we carefully flatbed scan each picture by hand at minimum resolution of 600 DPI.
Once we have your digital photo and learn exactly what result you are looking for, we will let you know if our basic, moderate or severe photo restoration service is required to make it picture perfect. Assessments are free of charge and there is no obligation until you accept and remit a deposit. With your approval, our photo restoration technicians will get to work!
Each photo is retouched individually using specialized software and advanced techniques. Severely damaged photos can take several hours to repair. Once complete, we will email you a proof for your review. If you are not satisfied with your newly restored photos, we will revise them until you are.
3 Easy Ways Send us Your Photos
- UPLOAD
If you have a scanner at home you can scan your photo and upload it above, or email it to us. If you do not have a scanner, you can bring your photo to the nearest Officemax, Staples, Office Depot, or FedEx Office and have them scan it for you. Be sure to scan your photo at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI (ideally 600 DPI or higher).
- Ship
If you don’t have access to a photo scanner or have slides or negatives in need of photo restoration and retouching, we are happy to scan your items for you. Just place your order and we will provide you with a shipping label and tracking number. We will contact you as soon as your original is received at our secure facility in New Jersey. When your digital photo restoration is complete, we will ship back your original in the same condition it was received.

If you are in the area (or do not mind a drive) feel free to stop into our New Jersey office between 9:00-5:00 (Monday thru Friday) and we will be happy to scan your image and discuss what you’d like done. Scanning your photo will only take a few minutes so you can take your original home while we work on the digital photo restoration.
