8mm Film
The most popular format used, 8mm film offers decent picture quality but no sound.
Super 8 film was introduced by Kodak in 1965 as an improvement over regular 8mm film and had the ability to record sound. If you have old home movie reels collecting dust, now is the time to transfer your super 8 films to digital format. As with all films, super 8 degrades and fades over time.
The sooner you convert super 8 films to digital or DVD, the better. Our professional super 8 film transfer service brings new life to your priceless family treasures. Once digitized, your family history will be safely preserved for future generations and can be enjoyed on any device. Contact us or place your order online today to get started.

Our extensive preparation and post production processes ensure the highest quality transfer of your super8 film to DVD or digital format. We inspect, clean and lubricate all super8 film reels prior to transferring to digital. Our expert technicians also remove blank film & damaged perforations, repair splices, and replace leaders as necessary.
We use a frame-by-frame super8 film transfer process to scan each individual frame as its own high-quality image using a progressive scan capture system. The scanned images are then transformed into a seamless motion picture using specialized video editing software. The frame-by-frame method offers a superior, accurate, flicker-free viewing experience when transferring super8 film to digital or DVD.
To reduce interrupted segments and allow for better storage, we consolidate multiple small reels (50 to 100 feet) onto larger 400’ take up reels. All footage is organized and named according to your labels on the reels or cans. All film content is reviewed, edited, and formatted to MP4, MOV or AVI files for your enjoyment. We can also capture audio from super8 film with magnetic or optical sound strips. Background music can be added in for silent films.
Super8 film actually has a native resolution that is higher than Standard Definition. When converting super8 film to digital, the resolution refers to the size of the video image as well as the amount of information being captured. We offer 3 resolution options to best suit your needs.
