I had a good experience with Smooth Photo Scanning. The process was very smooth from start to finish!
The price was right, a quick turnaround, their scans from my old 35mm slides ( 350 pcs. ) to digital were very clean. I will use them again.

I recently had Smooth Photo Scanning digitize over 300 of my father’s slides taken in the early 1960s and they came out beautifully. The color and clarity was perfectly captured. I would absolutely use their service again.

What a great company and great service! I had two broadcast quality Sony Betamax tapes. Bigger than normal tapes. Nobody had the equipment to convert them. I contacted them by email, and after sending photos of my tapes, they reassured me they could transfer them. From that moment on it was an easy print, ship, and wait. Smooth Photo is a well-run business. Brandon was generous with information about “how this works” and he made the process simple. Smooth Photo picked up and delivered my files, did a first-rate job of scanning, and charged completely reasonable fees. It was a pleasure working with them and I will turn to them for additional projects.

I recently used the Smooth Photo Scanning service twice – and it was better than expected!! I scanned 30 VHS tapes as a Christmas gift for my wife and was hoping for the best. Well, they exceeded my expectations.

The tapes came back in time for Christmas and my wife (and I) were thrilled. She said it was the best gift anyone has ever given her. The VHS were degrading anyway and we knew it. SPS recorded all the tapes in digital format, and even placed titles on the movies – at no additional charge – woo hoo!

Lastly, I sent another 30 8mm and 8mm-C tapes for scanning. They came back and were fantastic. Another victory for preserving memories.

Thanks again to Brandon and at the team Smooth Photo Scanning – our memories are now protected and will be handed on to generations to come!

Exceptional service and great value. These guys answered all my questions very patiently over both email and phone and gave me the confidence I needed to part with my precious photos. The process was totally painless and extremely fast, with my photos coming back with great quality in only a few days. I really appreciated Brandon going above and beyond as well and personally emailing me my download link when the original email went to spam. Would highly recommend and use again for all future projects.

Professional, prompt, courteous and they answered ALL my questions. I mailed (from FL to NJ) 21 albums (3 ring binders) loaded with pictures + tons of loose pics and stuff. I was in a rush trying to complete a memory photo book for my mother’s 90th birthday and was discouraged to find that all of the older photos needed to be professionally digitized in order to be used in the Shutterfly book i was making. I spoke with Brandon, who assured me they could do what I needed very quickly. I sent the photos to him (they arrived the Monday before Thanksgiving) and he was able to send me an email with the digitized photos by Wednesday afternoon. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Smooth Photo Scanning Service. I was not initially satisfied with the digitized results of my more than 1100 slides. After discussing my dissatisfaction with Brandon, he said he would be happy to rescan the slides at no additinal charge. I volunteered to pay him an extra fee but he would would not accept it. The rescanned slides showed an 100% improvement. I was impressed with his extra effort to satisfy me. I was apprehensive about trusting my films and videos to be handled by someone else. However, Smooth Photo Scanning now has my full trust. They converted my 16mm, 8mm, and super 8 films and also video tapes and have exceeded my expectations. Now I don’t have to worry about maintaining three projectors, split films, and lugging out a screen every time I want to view a movie. Also I can now select a single frame from a movie or video and make a still picture and also, since everything is now digitized, my worries about film and video degrading are over. I am glad I found Smooth Photo’s add on the internet! Brandon and his teammate Jesse were kind and helpful during the entire process, from setting up the appointment through finalizing the order. My wife and I brought close to 30 old VHS and VHS-C tapes, some of them damaged to convert to digital. We got a good price, with discounts and all, and Jesse spent quite some time with us reviewing the tapes (we couldn’t do at home and were not sure which one to convert). They finished the work in less than two weeks and the end results were great!!

Smooth Photo Scanning did such a great job! They transferred all of my old video tapes to an external hard drive and all my home videos can be viewed on my computer now. They were so easy to work with, very professional and everything was done in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend!

I have nothing but great things to say about Brandon and his team. Not only did they offer a great rate for our project, but they were kind and helpful during the entire process. I underestimated how many photos we had but Brandon kept us updated and reduced the price for us as he went along to make sure we got a good deal. We had over 19,000 photos to scan when it was all said and done, and he did it in under 2 months! The pick up process was simple and his team met me at my job to grab the photos, and returned them later after the project was complete. He let us know when we hit our planned budget so he did not go over, and kept us up to date with how far along he was.
We found some more photos and will definitely consider using Smooth Photo Scanning again in the future!

Brandon and the group at smooth photo scanning are great. I had a ton of old film in my grandathers basement and took it to them to get digitized. The quality of the photos are excellent, they worked within a reasonable timeframe to get my photos done, and even accomodated a special request to have a few photos developed quickly in order to have them ready for a family event. I have more film in storage which I intend on bringing over to them the next chance I get. Just be sure to have an accurate inventory of all the film you have so that they can give you an accurate estimate of the cost. Would highly recommend them to anyone!

Great business! As a Christmas present to my parents I decided to have a bunch of their old photo albums and slides converted to digital format. I chose Smooth Photo Scanning Services because they are a family owned business who has been doing this type of work for a very long time. Plus their prices are very good, especially for bulk quantities. I shipped everything out to them and got it back along with my files on a flash drive about 3 weeks later, which was much quicker than I expected. The quality of the images were excellent and my parents loved the gift! Their favorite part about it is posting old pictures to Facebook for Throwback Thursday. I highly recommend Smooth Photo Scanning for their expertise and attentive service. They recently converted some of my aging and deteriorating VHS tapes to DVD. Now the images of my children growing up that were stored on those tapes are properly preserved for both my children’s families. Next job I’ll give them will be to convert my parent’s old 8mm movies.
