Convert Broadcast Tapes to Digital
Broadcast tapes are a variety of professional video tape formats generally used for television or motion picture production due to their superior picture and sound quality. Unfortunately, magnetic tapes such as Betacam, Digibeta, DVCPRO, DVCAM tapes, and others were never designed to last forever. Betacam tapes and other broadcast formats can begin to decay within 5 years of recording and continue to lose quality as time goes on.
Do not keep your professional master tapes in a dusty storage room any longer and risk them getting worse. Let us digitize your broadcast tapes to high-quality digital files to ensure they are safe from harm and can be enjoyed once again. Call today or place your order online to transfer Betacam, Digibeta, 3/4U-Matic, DVCPRO & DVCAM to Digital.

Our Broadcast Tape Transfer Process
Once your broadcast tapes are received at our secure facility in NJ, they are labeled and logged into our order tracking system. Our skilled video technicians convert betacam to digital, as well as all other formats using state-of-the-art equipment and software.
Each video tape is processed in real-time from beginning to end to ensure every moment is preserved. We use professional tape decks with IEEE 1394, SDI, or component output connections for a direct digital capture to raw, uncompressed AVI files. All tapes are captured utilizing TBC (time base correction) and video filtering technology to eliminate jitter, stabilize playback errors, and enhance picture quality.
Once each tape is captured in its entirety, black space is removed from the beginning and end of each video before being converted to MP4, MOV, AVI, Apple ProRes (or any other digital format you prefer). Each video file is reviewed for quality assurance and put onto your delivery media of choice (Flash Drive, Hard Drive or DVD). Your new digital files can be used for professional and/or archival purposes as you please.
